When I first entered here, 3 years ago, it was all about the creativity - even beginners would do good combinations, even if they didn't had their style yet, didn't know the techniques, the layouts, whatever. It was about expressing themselves. I saw a lot of good sets, maybe some of them weren't "pretty", but the idea was really good, you could see that people were reflecting there their style, making outfits without worrying about the price of the pieces and everything.
Nowadays, I see a lot of sets who pick a photo of a cute boring girl and try to find the pieces that she's wearing in the photo. Excuse me, this is not fashion expression, this is just... nothing. You're not finding your style doing that, you're not expressing yourself... you're just copying someone's style and trying to get likes with that. In facebook, this is called "attention wh***".
I still see a lot of great sets here, that's why I keep coming here and checking up some sets, but I don't want to see polyvore becoming one of those sites packed with kardashian-disney-bieber stuff and no personal expression of art (even involving one of this 3 stuffs. if they're a part of you, show it using your personal ideas, easy).
